Candidacy for: FS ANT, StuPa

Hi, I'm Finja, I've been studying MEW at the University of Lübeck since 2020 and will start my Master's here next semester. Currently, I am the chairwoman of the ANT student council and vice president of the student parliament, and I want to actively contribute to the university again next year, simply because I enjoy working in committees and we have already achieved a lot. It is important to me that the university is not only a place of learning, but also a place for networking and feeling comfortable. I also want to continue to advocate for students to have the opportunity to exchange ideas with one another – both within their programs and across student councils. I would be very happy to have the chance to do so again. :)

Specifically, I want to promote the expansion of green spaces on campus and increase the use of solar energy and focus on the visibility and prevention of eating disorders in light of the high performance pressure in university life. For these and similar goals, I'm committed to establishing a green student group.
I would be very happy to receive your vote!

Hello, I'm Karla and I'm studying Biophysics in the 2nd semester. Since November, I have been actively involved in the ANT as a free member. Additionally, I am organizing the introductory week as part of the core group 2025. Over the last six months, I had the opportunity to help with various events of the student council and learn important skills, especially making crêpes at Wüffel. I appreciate that the student council is a place where you feel comfortable and always have an open ear, and I would be happy to contribute as an elected member next year. Ole Hinkelmann

List Position: StuPa 18

Course of Study: Computer science master

Candidacy for: StuPa, SA MINT

Hello, I'm Ole, and I'm a computer science master's student.
I joined the committees three years ago and was only active in the student council until I became interested in the student parliament last year. I like the committees because they have really nice iced tea. I'm also having a lot of fun doing committee work, such that I want to contribute my thoughts and suggestions to the student parliament again this year.
Some random facts about me: I like marzipan and going to the beach. I don't like Webex much, and I'm enthusiastic about simulation-based proofs in cryptography.
If you'd like to see me in the student parliament with a bottle of iced tea, please vote for me! I would be happy to receive it!

Hey guys,
I’m Anik Fischer, 21, and I’m currently studying medicine in the second semester here in beautiful Lübeck. In my hometown, a small village with more cows than people, I didn't have many opportunities to engage politically besides my politics classes. I want to change that now. StuPa here I come.
I want to not only talk about politics but also make an impact. Therefore, I am founding a campus green student group with fellow students. My goal is to make the campus more sustainable, promote interdisciplinarity, and implement projects for climate protection, equality, openness, and democratic education.

Candidacy for: StuPa, FS Psy

Warm greetings to everyone. Just like you, I love this university and the city. When I was approached at COAL about running, I was happy to accept the offer and promised to apply if there weren’t enough interested candidates. The issues I stand for and care about are: equality, participation, and protection of minorities. However, I have no experience working in student committees – so far, I’ve just been observing. You won’t find me at a big party, but rather in the library or at a medieval market. I wish you all a cheerful summer and a successful exam period. Yours, Katrin

Kashawaraam Emanuvel

List Position: StuPa 28

Name: Kashawaraam Emanuvel

Course of Study: Molecular Life Science (MLS)

Candidacy for: StuPa

Those who sit in committees know: Talking alone is not enough – you must also be able to listen. That’s exactly what I do – in the student parliament, the StuPa presidency, and in conversation with you. I am Kashi, an MLS student and someone who is committed and takes on responsibility.
It is important to me that student interests are heard and taken seriously – on an equal footing. I stand for an open, inclusive environment where every opinion matters.
For years I have been active in the StuPa and dedicate my energy to your concerns – engaged, reliable, and with a touch of humor.
Especially close to my heart is the fight against administrative fees. Perhaps you witnessed the demo or the general assembly? I’m part of the campaign team – and we continue to fight.
If you want a strong, reliable voice in the StuPa: Let’s tackle this together. The sleeves are already rolled up.

Alicia Wiczynski Rubinos

List Position: MuG 2

Name: Alicia Wiczynski Rubinos

Course of Study: 4th Semester Human Medicine

Candidacy for: FS MuG

Which means I'll have a lot of time and energy to contribute to shaping our student council :)

Paula Reinold

List Position: MuG 3

Name: Paula Reinold

Course of Study: Occupational Therapy (B.Sc.), 4th Semester

Candidacy for: FS MuG

Hi everyone, I’m Paula; an occupational therapist (26 years old), an Occupational Therapy student in the fourth semester, and originally from the Alps. For almost two semesters, I have been actively involved as a co-opted member of the student council for Medicine and Health. To ensure that occupational therapy has an even louder voice in the "official" university life and that we can climb a few project hills together, I’m now running for elected membership in the student council. Interprofessional collaboration is a major focus for me, especially because of my years of clinical practice (in neurology and geriatrics). Fortunately, this is highly valued at our university, and to ensure that it continues to be done right, we want to represent as many health-related study programs as possible in the student council and continue to support each other. As an occupational therapist, I am here for all everyday questions and know that there is a solution to everything – so if you need advice or assistance, just let me know.

Carlotta Staats

List Position: MuG 4

Name: Carlotta Staats

Course of Study: Medicine, 6th Semester

Candidacy for: FS MuG

Introduction: Hey, I’m Carlotta, and I’m studying Medicine in my 6th semester. I really enjoy studying at our university here in Lübeck. But there’s always room for improvement, which is why I want to actively engage with the student council again this year for positive change. I want to get more involved in teaching and a little in party planning too. Balancing study is important, right? ;) Outside of the university, you can find me with my friends, playing sports, and now that lovely Lübeck is becoming beautiful again, I like to relax in a sunny spot with my dog.
I’m looking forward to many great ideas and hopefully even better implementations.

Emily Groene

List Position: MuG 5

Name: Emily Gröne

Course of Study: Nursing B.Sc, 2nd Semester

Candidacy for: FS MuG

Hey, I’m Emily (or just Emi) and I’m currently studying Nursing in my 2nd semester. I’m a caring person, always give 100%, and I’m active – whether it’s running, working out at the gym, or hanging out with friends. I want to bring this energy into the student council! “Nursing can be studied?” I often hear this question. Yes, it can and it is important! Only through academic advancement can nursing keep up with societal and medical progress. It’s very important to me to give nursing a stronger voice, as it is often overlooked. With a place in the FS MuG, I want to actively shape, make nursing relevant, and bring our “Nursing Perspectives” to the table. Planning cool actions and events for everyday student life would also be my thing.
So please leave a vote for me ;)

Richard Wegner

List Position: MuG 6

Name: Richard Wegner

Course of Study: Human Medicine, 4th Semester

Fabian Dummer

List Position: MuG 12

Name: Fabian Dummer

Course of Study: 6 Medicine

Candidacy for: FS MuG

Hey! I’m Fabi, studying Medicine in my sixth semester, and have been actively involved in the student council since the beginning of my studies. For the last year, I’ve also taken on the of chair. Currently, I’m working on various projects in university politics and occasionally help with event planning – a good balance to the study routine. I am particularly passionate about smaller projects that relate to organization, such as extending the preparation time for the Physikum, and I am always ready to tackle such issues!
It’s especially important to me that we are a team in the student council where cooperation happens on an equal footing. I really appreciate developing and implementing ideas together – and I want to make sure that fun is not neglected: that’s why I also advocate for more party events (new trivia tournament?).
In my free time, I enjoy jogging, taking care of my many plants, and you can usually find me with my friends on Thursdays in Clemens :)
I look forward to your vote and to continuing to shape our student council and thank you for your vote!! <3

Sophie Kramer

List Position: MuG 13

Name: Sophie Kramer

Course of Study: Human Medicine, 4th Semester

Candidacy for: Faculty of Medicine

Hi, I'm Sophie! :)
I’m originally from Kiel and have made it to this university an hour further. In my free time, I try to go running, but what I actually enjoy doing is cheerleading. If I’m not throwing people in the air, I like to volunteer and engage politically.
It is important to me to experience new things and chat with many different people. Therefore, in hindsight, it was very clever that I had dead languages like Ancient Greek and Latin in school instead of French or Spanish. I also find it important to collect many memories to be able to tell exciting stories around the campfire later. See you on campus or at the latest during exam periods in the library or in Clemens!

Pia Dostal

List Position: MuG 14

Name: Pia Dostal

Name: Leon Birkhahn

Course of Study: Computer Science, 6th Semester

Candidacy for: FS MaIn, StuPa

Hi, I’m Leon and I want to run for the MaIn again. In the two years that I have been part of the Student Council, I have had a lot of fun helping with events and now also coming up with some to organize, while of course contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching in our field :)

Oh, and my favorite whale is the orca, and I like trains!

Why am I running for the student council? Because I believe the university should be more than just learning and exams. It should be a place where you feel comfortable, meet new people, and create great things together.
I have many ideas for creative, fun, and connecting events – open to everyone, no matter which program you’re from. Whether it’s chilling together, throwing small parties, or exciting actions: I want to make the campus come alive!
Additionally, I want to bring your concerns to the student parliament and student council. Honestly, openly, and with all my heart.
If you want fresh air, more togetherness, and a university life that is enjoyable, I would be thrilled to receive your vote!

I think this is how I can actively help make the Psychology program and the study life as beautiful as possible for all of us. Organizing, planning, and talking to people are what I’m really good at (especially the last one).
My life consists of weekends at the beach and evenings with books and paints, plenty of coffee, and spontaneous outings. I can’t dance, but I enjoy it anyway, and depending on my mood, I give different answers about what I’ll do after graduation. But I know I belong in Lübeck and psychology. Candidates for the Board of Trustees
Henry Laurence Kipke

List Position: Board of Trustees 1

Name: Henry Laurence Kipke

Course of Study: Medicine, 8th Semester

Candidacy for: Board of Trustees

I have been well connected within the student body for years and want to bring our perspectives into the Board of Trustees – where key issues such as the budget, new degree programs, or construction projects are decided. It is important to me that student interests are incorporated early into strategic decisions.
From my time as a spokesperson for the Study Foundation, I bring experience in responsible representation of interests. I am currently pursuing a PhD at the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine and know first-hand the connection between research, clinic, and study.
I look forward to your vote – for a strong student representation in the Board of Trustees.

Emanuvel Kashawaraam
Jarne Moelbitz

List Position: Senate 3

Name: Kashawaraam Emanuvel and Jarne Mölbitz

Course of Study: MLS (Master) and MLS (Bachelor)

Candidacy for: Senate

A strong student representation in the academic Senate of the University of Lübeck is of great importance. In the Senate, not only are reports from various university centers and institutions presented, but decisions are also made that directly affect us students.
In recent years, we have already been involved in several decisions that affected all university members. This includes the dismissal following a failed nomination process for the succession of Prof. Gillessen-Kaesbach and the subsequent election of our new president, Prof. Braun. We were involved as the last student instance in several appointment procedures and obtained a statement from the Senate against the introduction of student administrative fees. In our experience, we find open ears for our concerns and wishes regarding the condition and development of our university among all status groups within the university. Together we bring broad experience from various committees – cross-university connected and engaged for several years. Jarne has also developed a good and constructive relationship with the teaching staff, the scientific service, and the technical-administrative personnel through his three terms in the Senate, six years of commitment in the student council, and involvement in research and teaching. Kashi has been active in various student committees for several years and therefore knows whom to contact and is involved in various cross-university initiatives.
Your trust is our motivation – let’s tackle this together!

Simon Dührkop
Gabriel Gundlach

List Position: Senate 4

Name: Simon Dührkop and Gabriel Gundlach

Course of Study: Medicine (Clinic) and Media Computer Science (Bachelor)

Candidacy for: Senate

Hi, we are Simon and Gabriel. We have both been active in various student and university committees for several years.
Simon studies Medicine, was the budget responsible person for the AStA last year, and has been the Deputy Chair of the AStA since January this year. Gabriel studies Media Computer Science and has been part of the student parliament for several years, was on the hardship committee for several years, and leads the statutes committee.
We both believe that a good university, as well as democracy itself, can only function if people engage and participate. Therefore, we want to collaborate with the other groups in the Senate.
Decisions regarding studies and teaching affect us directly! Therefore, we want to use our experience in the Senate for the interests of the students, because students should have a central critical and constructive voice at the university. This voice we want to articulate for you in the Senate of the UzL. Feel free to write to us at senatoren@stupa.uni-luebeck.de in the future!

We have been nominated for the upcoming term in the Medical Senate Committee (SAM), and since we have as many candidates as positions, we have decided to collectively inform you about our goals: - Good and fair teaching (together with the student council) - Meaningful interprofessional offerings - Ensure that student interests are always considered when revising or rephrasing rules and regulations or making other structural changes - Ensure strong student participation in smaller committees and councils, e.g. appointment committees (deciding on reappointments of professors), examination committees, and doctoral committees - Communicative and constructive collaboration among ourselves, with other committees, and with the student body Even though there is no "real election," we are still very happy for your votes! General information on working in the SAM can be found in the Moodle course of the student council.

Nele Hansen

List Position: PromRat 5

Name: Nele Hansen

Course of Study: Medicine, 10th Semester, Department of Neurology/Psychology

Candidacy for: PhD Council

Hello everyone, I have been active in the student council FS MuG for several years and have been interested and involved in teaching and scholarship there. Since I am currently pursuing a PhD, and also across sections, I often notice stumbling blocks that need to be improved.
Additionally, I regularly push the boundaries of the structured doctoral regulations. Together, I am confident that we can achieve a lot. I am also part of "Mit Sicherheit Verliebt" and the Awareness AG and consider myself a regular at Curie. Because coffee simply makes it easier. :)

Melina Schoenknecht

List Position: PromRat 7

Name: Melina Schoenknecht

Course of Study: Bioinformatics

Candidacy for: PhD Council

Hello fellow PhD candidates, I am Melina, and I've been pursuing my PhD for about six months now, and I still don't exactly know where I need to sign up for everything. Therefore, I am exactly the right person for the job in the PhD Council.
Since I completed my Bachelor's and Master's in Medical Engineering at the University of Lübeck, I experienced the times when the tofu dishes in the cafeteria were still on the level of Michelin star kitchens – that was great. Additionally, I know the structures at UzL very well and at least know whom to ask questions.
Furthermore, it is important to me that all people at our university feel equally seen and respected. Should there be any difficulties, I am happy to act as a point of contact.
Here are a few exciting personal details: My greatest hobbies are waiting in line at Café Curie in the afternoons and kickboxing.
With love,
Melina

Frederike Lüth

List Position: PromRat 8

Name: Frederike Lüth

Course of Study: Interprofessional Education and Collaboration

Candidacy for: PhD Council

Dear PhD students,
my name is Frederike Lüth. This year I am a candidate for the PhD-council for the first time. During my Bachelor (Nursing) and Master (Health and health care sciences) at the University of Lübeck, I have already familiarized with university structures. Currently, I am working on my doctoral thesis in the field of nursing research.
Even though I do not yet have formal committee experience, this motivates me: I would like to strengthen the networking of PhD students from different disciplines within the university and in Schleswig-Holstein. From my point of view, it is important to consider your individual backgrounds, facilitators and barriers in the PhD process and to develop strategies together with you.
In addition, I see the PhD-council as an important voice for PhD students in order to make the specific challenges and concerns of PhD students in the various disciplines visible.
I would be delighted to add new perspectives and to be able to promote interprofessional communication and your interests.

Best regards,
Frederike

Ole Gildemeister

List Position: PromRat 9

Name: Ole Gildemeister

Course of Study: PhD in Mathematical Imaging, 2nd year of PhD or 14th Semester

Candidacy for: PhD Council

Dear fellow PhD candidates,
It’s great that you have also decided to pursue a PhD at our university!
I am Ole, a PhD candidate in mathematical imaging at MIC, and I look forward to working in the upcoming PhD Council.
At the University of Lübeck, I completed my Bachelor's and Master's in "Mathematics in Medicine and Life Sciences," and through my involvement in student representation, AStA, examination committee, and Senate Committee MINT, I have gained insight into the structures and committees of our university.
I want to use this experience to highlight the interests of us PhD candidates, improve our networking, and tackle the challenges we face with commitment and an open ear.
I appreciate your trust and support and wish you continued success in your PhD!

Sathurya Jegatheeswaran

List Position: PromRat 10

Name: Sathurya Jegatheeswaran

Course of Study: Imaging in Medical Engineering (Institute of Medical Engineering)

Candidacy for: PhD Council

Last year, I completed my Master's in Medical Engineering and am currently pursuing a PhD at the Institute of Medical Engineering. My research involves the imaging modality Magnetic Particle Imaging. Additionally, I coordinate the Lübeck Engineering Lab (LILa) as part of the Schülerakademie to inspire young people in technology.
In the PhD Council, I particularly want to advocate for fair working conditions and transparent, supportive supervision. For me, this also includes regularly organizing orientation and networking events for PhD candidates. I also advocate for the further development of doctoral regulations, including gender-sensitive language and the recognition of published works. I look forward to improving the conditions for doctoral education at our university together with you!
